The Red Line Dan Ryan Branch from the 16th St. Portal to 95th St. Interlocking, including the double track incline structure north of Cermak Junction and the 18th St. Connector to the Orange Line, required full depth reconstruction involving both track replacement and modernization of all 8 stations along the branch. Work was performed during an unprecedented 154-day extended line cut.
