Under the IDOT Multi-Year Program, pavement preservation is required for a stretch of I-55 from River Rd. to the I&M Canal. Rehabilitation of the roadway incorporates SMART overlay. Improvement work includes milling and resurfacing, HMA overlay, pavement patching, and installation of shoulder rumble strips.
