Extensive renovations were undertaken at Rickover Naval Academy in Chicago’s Portage Park neighborhood, including restoration of the original 1953-constructed building. To ensure the school opened in time for the academic year, work on more than 105,000 square feet of the 233,000 square-foot building was performed in phases, including HVAC, electrical, energy-efficient lighting, ADA accessibility, and updates to several classroom areas.
